I'm back - unfortunately - I loved beeing there after 2 years back at the bungalows where my son nearly grew up - we have always been there for vacation nearly every year since 1994. We really had a lot of rest and slept a lot down there so that we have plenty of energy to get back to work on monday :-(.
I am looking forward to those pictures so much - in about 2 weeks I will scan some of my old ones to show them to you as soon as possible.
I havent got a scanner so I'll have to wait till I ve got one.
Give you a big Hug thank you so much I'm sorry for the trouble you have got with that but I am looking forward to them so much.

Perhaps shift the gummies to different locations on the stoop from time to time... defiant as well as taunting! How could Murphy resist?! He he he
The picnic tho sounds like the plan of action... even if it doesn't rain, everyone can still have a lekka time!
And just for good measure and because it's fun I'm going to dance anyway, even when the rain eventually does come!!
Thanks for the note and yes, Please post the photos for us. Right now, I'm a little behind in my stuff to do but when I get time, I'll send them to you. I'm not at all sure of how to do that and I really don't want to take time to learn right now. Other things are more important to me right now. Probably when the wheather gets a lot cooler, I'll get it done. Right now, it's so hot and muggy, it's all we can do to breathe. We stay indoors as much as we can. Thanks again for writing. Love you. Millie
now the riddle has an answer. I do remember, that our neighbours (they were German) bought our House. So they are still the owners of Bergfried. I guess they will not know were the name comes from- I do. A small mountain like Hill in the home City where my dad was born in Thuringia the name is Saalfeld is called Bergfried. So that is were the name is from.
I would love to have a foto of what Bergfried looks like now - I am sure I will cry because my homesickness to Hogsback is really sometimes unbearable. I neary dream of it nearly every night sometimes getting really worse to bear.
I think a lot of times - my dad should have never ever sell our home there so that I could visit it as often as I like to.
I will scan a few fotos of Bergfried out of my childhood so you can see what I looked like then and what Bergfried looked like too. My dad built the main house. The small one in the backround use to have green doors and dark grey walls and a flat roof. It was the only house on the property when my father bought it. I cant remember which year it was maybe even at the end of the 60ties. Our surname was Wagner.
I am going on holiday tonight - leaving for the Canary Islands and staying there for 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to hear from you soon.
Please take care
Love
Ulrike
